My tribute to Steve Jobs
Life is fragile.
The bright white light filled the high-facility Genetic Lab of a Japanese University, without revealing its source, as if the whole place was glowing by itself. Glass doors everywhere but rather invisible. To a 4th Grade school kid, this was Sci-Fi, this was what even his wildest imagination couldn’t come up with. The shiny white floor reflected everything above making the kid step slowly with caution, to him it was a wet floor.

Review: HideIPVPN — The ultimate VPN Service! [GIVEAWAY]
UPDATE: We are giving away 3 FREE HideIPVPN accounts! Instructions on how to take part in the giveaway is at the end of the post...
VPN being a very essential need, can also become a nightmare and at times rather expensive if you want a seemless and robust experience. I was in search of a good VPN provider but as a private user, needed something free. There are many services out there, all you need to is Google for free VPN. But about a few months ago, I came across "HideIPVPN" which is the best I've seen so far.
I don't want to go into details about what you can do with VPN, as there are a lot of things to cover but mainly it's for security and if you want to make traffic appear to originate from a different country.
So these guys at HideIPVPN, take speed and reliability more seriously than your local ISP! I've been testing their trial version and must say, it's been a totally awesome experience unlike many others I've tried.
Using HideIPVPN is easy too. Once you sign up, they send you an email with your credentials and server address. If you are on a Mac, setting up VPN is as easy as it gets. Just go to System Preferences and open Network and add a new VPN connection like so:

Click "Advanced" and make sure you have the "Send all traffic over VPN connection" option selected.

Add your credintials that were sent to you over email, and hit connect! You're good to go! You can also create several connections with different country servers like UK, USA and just connect according to your need. You have to create/configure a connection once and save. After that it's always a click away on the Menu Bar!

Websites with video content like Channel 5 runs very well. Very good speed of the VPN servers...

Now how to get this you say? Well, HideIPVPN has a Free Plan as well as a Premium Plan. While the free plan only offers a PPTP protocol to connect, the premium version offers all the protocols you can imagine... and just go to thier website and check out the prices yourself, I can only say, they are highly competitive! So if you are someone just needs VPN occasionally, the free plan might be ok. But it's hard to get one as they offer a limited number of accounts every month and they are gone instantly. But otherwise, a premium servise is nothing you will regret if you are truly in need of using VPN. But don't forget to check out the FREE Trial!
Let us know if you have any questions, and I'll try to see if I can manage any giveaways for some free accounts...

Built-in hardware encryption on iOS devices
As many friends often ask me and discuss the reasons to get an iPhone or an iOS device for the matter, most of the time the questions are very specific and direct comparison to many other brands of smartphones. The OS it runs on, the processor, the RAM and all these technical specs. While these are all very important, the main iOS experience comes in as a whole! Each component is well balanced and we all can agree that Apple does this complete integration better than any company out there... It's nothing new, from the very early Macintosh times, it's been the case and if you are a fan and old skool user like me, you'll recall right.
Today I thought I'd write a little about the Hardware Encryption feature of iOS which is probably not known to many users and people thinking of getting an iPhone. You see, there are many such small but crucial things that other companies lack, and Apple surely is ahead of the game...
iOS comes with multiple layers of security and there are 4 main levels:
- Device Security
- Data Protection
- Network Security
- Platform Security
I won't bore you with all the details here because you can read everything from the Apple Website on iOS Security features. But let me tell you about the cool part which no other phone has!
